In advance

I have been using Notion to make daily, weekly and short-term plans. What I have learned is that always plan things in advance and always do things in advance.

Plan things in advance. Making plans actually take up a lot of my energy. I have to see the whole picture and take a lot of things into consideration before I could finalize my plan. Making the plan right before I get started will prevent me from starting to do anything. And things got worse when everything is piling up and there were so many things to handle simultaneously. My way to deal with it is, to make plans for my next working cycle at the very end of my current working cycle. I am currently studying for an exam which will be taken place tomorrow, and I will have two weeks of free time afterward. I just finished my planning this afternoon and I felt confident and energetic, even looking forward to the next two weeks. I know that I could learn something that I wanted, something that I like, and something that is useful. And I know that everything I will be doing in this working circle will benefit me a lot, and would provide me a soft landing in the next working circle ahead.

That brings us to do things in advance. Or maybe, just as planned. I would say that in most cases, sticking to the schedule could be considered as \’in advance\’. The reason why I am writing about planning my stuff here at this moment is that I am already well-prepared for the exam. Otherwise, I would have rushed into what I had learned this semester and hoped that knowledge would have poured into my brain. And the fact is, doing things in advance allows me to do more useful things. Time when I am not studying, I spend my time on Youtube, a lot. I am not saying that one should never spend time on Youtube, I personally, have learned a lot from it. But sometimes when I feel like got nothing else to do in my day, I go on Youtube and aimlessly watch videos, sometimes I even get bored but I kept on watching cus I don\’t have that urge to find myself some other things to do. It is best to have a schedule that restricts enough time to work and satisfies the required relaxation needs.

These two aspects back each other up, and both facilitate me in pursuing a higher level of self-worth. I did a lot of meaningful things after I got to manage my life better than I ever had before.

I have been saying to myself \’I love my day!\’ at the very end of my day when I have done a great lot of things and I am proud that I could say that every day without any guilt.

I love my day and hope you love yours as well.
