There are some professors who enjoy their teaching so much that they get very excited, even high. I don\’t know if it\’s just me, but sometimes they\’re just so cute.
One of my professors once said, \’it is interesting because it is difficult\’. He said this horrible thing with a huge smile on his face. I was so frustrated and exhausted at that time because I really couldn\’t understand what he was teaching at that time. But as time passed, I have forgotten his teachings at that time, I still remember his smile, and his devilish words. And strangly, I started loving it.
I like their mental state. It means they are fully committed to what they do and what they teach. They genuinely find all this stuff interesting. To put it this way, they are proud to master the knowledge, proud to teach it, but also proud to see us suffer while we learn.
And that professor isn\’t the only one. Some professors get so excited during lectures that they forget about time (That\’s the worst case though). And some, you can simply tell from their faces that they have so much fun teaching these things. And my boss, whose eyes literally sparkle when he talks about some of the code he\’s written that he considers a masterpiece.
All in all, I really appreciated their passion, though I suffered a lot from it. I\’m glad I had them as my teachers. I hope I can find the same passion, and I hope you do too.
